Mechanical aerators are an excellent low capital costs aeration option with the advantage of maintaining the same performance efficiency for the life of the equipment. Ideal for smaller tank applications to larger scale earthen basins, mechanical aeration can be utilised in shallow or deeper water levels.
Where other aeration technologies require large infrastructure frameworks, mechanical aerators are simple to install, use, move and maintain.
ATB Water’s HSA Surface Aerators draw the water from the bottom and sides, spraying it back onto the surface. The spray is horizontally injected into the water surface over 360° and the turbulence creates micro bubbles which are pushed downwards. The flow pattern generates a perfect oxygen dispersion and full homogenisation even in deep basins and on large surfaces.
Features
The ATB HSA Surface Aerator is a direct drive, high efficiency aerator with an optimised dual helix impeller. Micro bubbles are formed by the optimal transfer of kinetic energy into the water surface, resulting in a high oxygen dispersion over large surfaces with optimised mixing capacity. Other features include:
Suitable for deep basins
Power ranges from 3—110 kW
Motor IP56 and covered motor ventilation
High efficiency IE3 motors
High oxygen transfer in wastewater due to high alpha factor
