Mechanical aerators are an excellent low capital costs aeration option with the advantage of maintaining the same performance efficiency for the life of the equipment. Ideal for smaller tank applications to larger scale earthen basins, mechanical aeration can be utilised in shallow or deeper water levels.
Where other aeration technologies require large infrastructure frameworks, mechanical aerators are simple to install, use, move and maintain.
The ATB HSA-HSM Combined Surface Aerator and Mixer combines a surface aerator and a vertical agitator in one unit. Both motors can be switched on and off independently of each other. The unit contains a direct drive, high efficiency surface aerator with an optimised centrifugal impeller, combined with a direct drive high efficiency mixer with an optimised axial impeller. It creates a micro bubble formation as a result of optimal transfer of kinetic energy into the water surface. The mixing pattern leaves no dead spots in the tank volume.
Features
The ATB HSA-HSM combined Surface Aerator and Mixer is highly efficient, has low maintenance requirements and is quick and easy to install. It is ideal for deep tanks and varying water levels. Other features include:
High oxygen dispersion over large surfaces
Optimised mixing capacity, even in deep basins
Intensive and high turbulence downdraft mixing
Nitrification and denitrification provided in one unit
Resistant to coarse materials and clogging by fibres
Low aerosol emissions
No baffling in the tank needed, no surging
Motor IP56 and covered motor ventilation for the aerator and IP 68 for the mixer
High efficiency IE3 motors for the aerator
Float, cone, motor flange support and impeller: AISI304
